The open vocabulary
The Triodian Metamodel is an open, schema-first way to describe what an organisation does and why: its strategy, capabilities, value streams, stakeholders and more. It is the shared vocabulary the governance layer uses to express the constraints an AI must stay inside.

The documentation you already have
Process maps, capability models, policy libraries, an operating model, most organisations have documented themselves at length, and that work is valuable. But it was written for people to read and interpret. None of it is in a form an AI acting on your behalf can be held to at the moment it acts. The Metamodel is the same description, expressed so it can carry a constraint all the way to enforcement, and checked by anyone, because the vocabulary is open.

What it is
It redefines business architecture from static documentation into a live, organisation-wide model of how a business functions and adapts, modelling not just what an organisation does, but why, how, for whom, and with what effect.
It is schema-first and JSON-based, so it integrates cleanly with data catalogs, metadata and governance tooling. Its domains run from strategy and capabilities through to customer, people, sustainability and intelligence, a common vocabulary an organisation, and the systems acting on its behalf, can share.
How it fits
The Metamodel describes how an organisation works; the UGP carries those limits to the point of action; the appliance enforces them and emits proof.
